I have over 18 years of experience in the medical field and have been with Dr. Lucey’s practice for over 6 years. I joined Dr. Lucey’s practice in 2015 as an Ophthalmic Technician. In 2019, I was promoted to Office Manager. In addition to managing the practice, I perform advanced testing which is necessary for the state-of-the-art cataract surgery performed by Dr. Lucey. When I am not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, sitting by the pool, going to the beach, and all outdoor activities.
Rebecca Soto, the owner of Soto Optical, is a Licensed Optician with over 25 years of experience. She is certified by both the American Board of Opticianry and the National Contact Lens Examiners and is an Instructor of Vision Care Technology at Goodwin University in East Hartford, Connecticut. Notably, Rebecca received the 2016 Teaching Excellence Award at Goodwin College. In addition, she is a contributing author for 20/20 Magazine.
I recently graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a B.S in Business Administration. I have been working for Dr. Lucey for 6 years and have had the opportunity to learn a tremendous amount about ophthalmology from her and her staff. When I am not working, I love to travel, go to the beach and explore the cuisine at new restaurants.
I have worked in Ophthalmology since 1989. I am a CoA-Certified Ophthalmic Assistant. I have traveled to many places to earn my credits. In my free time I love traveling to Vermont and spending time with my husband.
